1. Overview of Our Services

Verity Trade provides two related services:

• A marketplace connecting Nigerian buyers with verified overseas sellers of used smartphones, laptops, and other devices. We act as a facilitator. We do not manufacture, stock, or hold physical possession of the devices at the time they are listed.
• An importation and sourcing service, through which you provide a product link (for example, from 1688, Taobao, JD, or Tmall) and we purchase, verify, and deliver the item on your behalf.

2. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account, placing an order, or otherwise using the site, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to these Terms, together with our Return and Refund Policy and Privacy Policy.

3. Eligibility and Accounts

You must be at least 18 years old to use the site. When you create an account, you agree to provide accurate and complete information and to keep it up to date. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You may sign in using your email address or your Google account.

4. Orders and Payments

All prices are displayed in Naira. Placing an order constitutes an offer to purchase the item at the stated price. We may contact you to confirm details before an order is accepted. Payment is made in Naira. For gadgets marketplace orders, you pay into escrow — EscrowPay holds your funds with Rubies Microfinance Bank (a CBN-licensed, NDIC-insured bank) until you receive and confirm your device. For importation and sourcing orders, payment is required when your order is confirmed ready to ship.

We reserve the right to cancel an order where an item is no longer available, where pricing was displayed in error, or where we are unable to verify the information provided. If your order is cancelled after payment, you will receive a full refund of the amount paid.

5. Gadgets Marketplace

Listings on our marketplace describe used devices sourced from overseas sellers. Each listing includes a condition and inspection report where available, covering battery health, cosmetic condition, and any known repair history. Prices include delivery to Lagos; delivery outside Lagos is available for an additional fee.

Because devices are used, they may show the cosmetic wear described in their listing. Returns and refunds for gadgets are governed by our Return and Refund Policy.

6. Importation and Sourcing Service

For importation orders, you are responsible for selecting the product and the supplier and for providing the correct product link. We purchase only from the shop you specify on the platform.

Before shipping, we record a video and take photographs of the actual item and send them to you for review and approval. Once you approve the item and it has been shipped, the item is treated as accepted as seen. Responsibility for the quality and authenticity of the item rests with you, as the party who selected the supplier and the product.

Where an item is fragile, we will advise you of the risk before shipping. Fragile goods travel at your risk, and any damage in transit is your responsibility.

7. Delivery

Delivery timelines are estimates and typically range from 7 to 10 days for gadgets after order confirmation. Actual delivery may vary due to factors outside our control, including customs clearance and courier delays. We will keep you informed of material changes to your delivery timeline.

Where a package is missing or lost in transit, we will investigate with the carrier and, where the loss is confirmed, provide compensation in line with our Return and Refund Policy.

8. Returns and Refunds

Returns, refunds, and compensation are governed by our Return and Refund Policy, which forms part of these Terms.

9. Acceptable Use

You agree not to misuse the site, including but not limited to:

• Providing false, inaccurate, or misleading information
• Attempting to gain unauthorised access to any part of the site or its systems
• Interfering with the operation or security of the site
• Using the site for any unlawful purpose
• Reproducing, scraping, or reselling content from the site without permission

10. Intellectual Property

The Verity Trade name, logo, and site content are the property of Verity Trade Global Limited or its licensors. Product images, watermarks, and logos appearing on listings are sourced from third-party platforms and remain the property of their respective owners. You may not use our content without our prior written permission.

11. Third-Party Platforms and Links

Our listings reference third-party marketplaces and sellers. We are an independent platform and are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or in partnership with those platforms or with any device manufacturer whose products appear on our site. We are not responsible for the content or practices of third-party sites.

12. Disclaimer of Warranties

The site and its services are provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, whether express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not guarantee that the site will be uninterrupted or error-free.

13. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Verity Trade Global Limited shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising out of or in connection with your use of the site. Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid for the order giving rise to the claim.

14. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Verity Trade Global Limited, its officers, employees, and agents from any claims, losses, or damages arising out of your use of the site or your breach of these Terms.

15. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the site at any time if you breach these Terms or if we reasonably believe your continued use poses a risk to the site or its users.

16. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Any dispute arising out of or in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Nigeria.

17. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. Your continued use of the site after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
